We offer programs in gymnastics, swimming, and ball skills both one-on-one and in small groups. We also provide social skills groups and day camps. Silver Horse Healing Ranch is located in Topanga Canyon, California. Sara Vaughan RPP is the founder and director of SHHR.
SHHR is an alternative experience for people who love horses but for whatever reason do not enjoy going to riding schools or rental riding facilities.
SHHR offers the opportunity for people to get to know the nature of horses, to have the experience of being part of the herd and to relate to horses in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
SHHR believes that by relating to horses from our authentic selves our heart and souls are nourished.
There are currently seven horses that facilitate the programs at SHHR. All of these horses are 'rescues', meaning that they were headed for slaughter because of outliving their use or because they were no longer wanted by their owners.
Each horse has been rehabilitated and trained to do what they do best. Whether this is teaching children about touching and grooming horses, or providing people the experience of gently riding the horses bareback.
SHHR offers other alternative opportunities for healing such as Reiki, Polarity Therapy, Cranial Sacral, Astrology and Family Constellations.
